At what age should your child start writing?


This is one of those questions that almost every parent is looking for answers to.


Bisi and Biodun  were married for 8 years before having their only child Bayo.
Bayo is now 4 – years old and already in Nursery One.


Sometimes the pre- school system is so crazy that a child might have attended school for close to 4 years before eventually starting basic One.


One day Mrs Olisa, Bayo’s new class teacher called BIsi to complain of Bayo’s inability to write like other children in her class.

When I was 19, I had sneaked out to attend a neighbour’s all night party. I lied to my parents that I was going for all-night browsing, so I met up with two of my friends, with whom I had planned the whole thing, and we hit the party.

I was on a short vacation but decided to conclude some transactions in a commercial bank in the heart of Victoria Island.

When it comes to wasting time in banks ….i am not a party to that …i am a very irate customer……smiles ….i know my rights ……. 

This young man in his mid 40s kept screaming at the people who were attending to him.

On this fateful day, I ran into someone who was more irate than I should be.

His behaviour was disgusting to me but I decided to utilize my excellent gisting skills and engage him .

The Entitled Child

So I was in a mall last week, trying to decide which affordable toy to get for my neighbour’s child (whom I had promised to get a toy for if he recorded high scores in his school tests), when I noticed a child and his mother walk into the same toy section where I was. They moved behind me, next to another woman with her daughter standing opposite me, choosing items from the shelf. 

I was still trying to choose between a plastic ball and an inflated bear when I heard noises behind me; the boy –who had just walked in with his mother—was protesting and throwing tantrums that he wanted a blue toy obviously already picked by the girl who had been standing close to the shelf with her mother. There were many toys on the shelf, clearly, but the boy (about five years or so) apparently wanted the one already chosen by the girl. I was going to shake my head at the hilarious childish outburst and then proceed to the counter when I got the shock of my life.
