You are welcome to  October edition of the parentinggist parent of the month segment,  we are pleased to have you,  Ma… Let’s meet our guest

A. Good morning ma. My name is Goodness Adunmo. Co-Founder at Little Foodie Nigeria.

, Q.
Little Foodie Nigeria,  sounds like food for the little ones ; tell us more about Little Foodie Nigeria

A.
Oh yes. Delicious nutritious meal made from 100percent natural ingredients. Little Foodie started in my sitting room one day when a friend of mine saw me feeding my son what is now Nutri-six. She wanted it and I have some to her. Then seeing how effective it was on her baby’s growth, she came for more. This time with money in her hands to pay for as much as I can do. Then it hit me, moms are now gearing towards feeding their babies right, why not make this delish available to all babies. That was when Little Foodie was born.

Q.
This is great,  turning was you do for your family into business. How many varieties do you have?

A.
Yes, it is great. And having someone come on board as a partner in business with the same vision has been a great development in our growth. We have had to review our products several times to suit the specifications of our customers, keeping in mind what is best for them. We are working on more varieties but for now we have formulated a multi grain meal that can be served with milk or as “morsels” with soup of choice

Q.
Awhhhh am so loving this,  what is the age range of children, who can feed on the multi grain meal?

A,
Thank you.
It is recommended for babies from 6 months. Babies start solids at six months, that’s when they can sit up. However some moms like me start when their baby is 3months old. We always advice moms to do what’s best for their babies.  Also it is very good for toddlers and adults

Q.
So how do you manage your home and your business together?

A.
As a mom of two, it was tedious at first. I had to find a way around it because as a woman, we always want to get things done either by multi tasking or scheduling every activity. I find the latter more relaxing as it lifts the pressure of getting everything thing done at the same time

Q.
Don’t you think getting help might reduce the stress?

A.
Getting help will definitely do. However it is hard to trust HELPS these days. Having a business partner has taken the load off and she has been a tremendous blessing.

Q.

Why do you feel “it is hard to trust HELPS these days”?

A.
They always come with something you can’t deal with, most especially the ones who weren’t trained for that purpose. For example, one of the female helps I had, was visiting a boyfriend under my nose. I couldn’t bear the thought of her bringing in a disease to my kids, so I let her go.

Q.
Awhhhh so sorry about that,  it’s part of the challenges of parenting. So you don’t think they are necessary evils?

A.
Sometimes they are, you only have to be the judge of the situation in which you let them in. But if you can avoid them, well it is better. Nothing is as priceless as peace of mind

Q.
In your parenting journey so far, what is the greatest challenge you have encountered?

A.
The greatest so far is learning each day that I can’t be the perfect mom, but I can strive to be the best

Q.
What is the most important beautiful thing your kids have said to you?

A.
”allalu” meaning I love you. He said it with a warm hug. – I’m actually smiling typing this- 😃

Q. So for you is it a work-life balance or a work – life blend?

A.
Work – life blend actually. You never know when work will call upon you as a mom-prenuer

Q.
What is your advice for parents struggling to balance family and work?

A.

Like someone once advised me, take it one step at a time. Nothing happens all together, kids take time to grow, so is a career or business.
